theVPN Pitch & Pilot Committee came to a consensus tonight in regards to the newly acquired webisode series from Kerry Burkett and Brady Brown, respectively; picking up science fiction thrill-ride, "The Remnants," and drama/comedy, "Audition."
First to be picked up is "The Remnants," a science fiction drama from "Bad Wolf" showrunner, Kerry Burkett.
The story is set in a distant future, where the Earth as humans know it has been overrun by an alien race called Drones, who live by inserting themselves into the bodies of humans across the globe. After years of struggle most Drones believe Free-Humans to be extinct. But small colonies of Free-Humans have managed to survive. On a mission for supplies a young Free-Human named Thomas Light is captured by Drones, leaving his cousin, Erica Light, to save him. She is willing to do anything get him back, even if it means accepting help from an enemy. The enemy in question? A captive Drone named Carson.
"Audition," the dramedy to be penned by "The Super Teens" creator, Brady Brown, follows the journey of two, young aspiring actors, Alex and Alisha, who are new to the city of Los Angeles, where every one wants the same thing. But, with the help of Michael, Alex's father, and their quirky, new agent Paula, they are on a mission to become the best thing Hollywood has seen in a while. But first, they must book an audition to make it happen.
We are extremely excited for updates on both shows, so check back in, frequently, for the latest news!
