At his last school, Drew was the most popular guy around. Openly gay, he and his boyfriend were the school’s power couple. Things went sour after his mom hooked up with her boss' son - when her boss was their next-door neighbor. It was the last straw and finally the family packed up to move houses, moving all the way to Sunset Valley, CA. Newly single and confused about where he stands, Drew finds that life at Sunset Valley High School is going to be different. Somebody at the school has it out for him and all of his secrets are coming out once at a time."
Most of the series has been cast, although a few key actors from the original pilot have been recast following the pickup. Jeremy Irvine will still lead the new series as Drew Cunningham, along with Chris Zylka, and Lee Pace, who have remained attached to the series in their respective roles.
However, Holland Roden, Daniel Sharman and Matt Dallas are in the process of being recast. Emma Watson is our new "Chess," and Liam Hemsworth, will be playing "Brandon."
Producers are still trying to pen down an new actor for Matt Dallas' character, "Isaac," but we have learned that Sean O'Pry, Marlon Teixeira and Colton Haynes are being considered for the role. Though their original characters have been recast, producers have hinted at the actors possibly returning to the series at some point in new roles.
Production of the remainder of season one is currently underway by new VPN showrunner, Tom East, and has been slated for a 2013 release. More information in regards to production will be made public via the VSGuide section of the website.
