It is rumored that a new series set in the Marvel Universe is currently being developed by The Outcasts' executive producer Maddie Funderburg, creator of the rumored series, who will also be working closely with Aimee Nicole, who has been named executive producer of the untitled series, to make sure that the show works hands-in-hand with the universe to be established in The Outcasts, premiering this Spring.

Joss Whedon is a man who has inspired many writers on theVPN. The network itself has hosted a number of Jossverse spinoffs and continuations over the past four years of operation, including Faith the Vampire Slayer, and Angel: The Virtual Continuation, both penned by Jack D. Malone, who would later go on to develop "Watchtower." As well as the two short lived virtual spinoffs "Connor," created by Matthew James and "Fabulous Cordy," from Nicole Rodriguez.
There was even a Buffy the Vampire Slayer continuation on the horizon that would fall under Malone's Buffyverse continuity, however, production came to a close before the series could officially premiere in 2010. Since then, Jossverse on theVPN has been fairly quiet, but it looks like there may be hope for it yet!
